Check Out DRYBONES’ Bailey Bones, starring in hit Channel 5 TV Show.
We are really proud to announce that DRYBONES’ very own little famous Dachshund; Bailey Bones, is currently starring in the newly released and highly acclaimed Channel 5 Drama, Murder Before Evensong.
Produced by Acorn TV, this production was filmed during the winter months of early 2025. It is based on the Reverend Richard Coles first successful book and we’re hoping they will go on to commission, and film, the further 3 books in the series.
Starring Matthew Lewis as Canon Daniel Clement and including other big names; Amanda Redman, Amit Shah and Tamzin Outhwaite, Bailey was cast as the part of Cosmo, the red male Dachshund, one of Daniel’s’ beloved dog. Alongside Hilda, Bailey’s doggy co star, Penny.
Bailey was cast and trained by the brilliant StuntDogs who provide all the dogs and animals for big hit TV shows and films, for example, Downton Abbey, Mobland, Mission Impossible and The Thursday Murder Club, to name but a few of their amazing TV and film credits. They also proudly cast and regularly help with the filming of Casper, the “Flash’ dog for Tango Productions famous Flash adverts.
Trained by the patient and kind Andy and Gill, Bailey was cast and trained for his part all within 12 days, before he was first required on set. Notoriously Dachshunds are difficult and stubborn to train, however, Bailey took to his training and role like a duck to water. He was soon filming his scenes and playing his role of Cosmo with professionalism and confidence.
Regularly on set in all weathers and at all times of the day and night, StuntDogs staff have their own customised DRYBONES gear to keep them warm, dry and working in all wet, cold and windy conditions.
So keep following and lookout for Bailey Bones’ progress as he heads for international dog stardom. He has just shot a days photo shoot with Arden Grange Dog Food and is hoping to be cast, once again, as Cosmo, when the second book is hopefully commissioned and filmed, in early 2026.
However, Bailey will always remain a loyal DRYBONES’ favourite and just the cutest doggy model, along with his little Dachshund sister Margot, as they continue to model and help to promote the smaller sizes in the DRYBONES brand dog coats and dog accessories range.
